Chateau Martinolles Limoux Chardonnay is a smooth, fruity oak-aged Chardonnay with a buttery texture, made by one of the Languedoc’s finest producers.

The Martinolles Estate, part of Domaines Paul Mas, is a beautiful winery with over 30 hectares of land under vine. The grapes grow in sandy limestone soils and benefit from a long ripening period due to the significant temperature range of the terroir. The iconic wines of this estate are its barrel aged Chardonnays.

Limoux is best known for its sparkling wines made from regional grape varieties. Bucking this tendency with phenomenal results, is winemaker Jean Claude Mas. He ferments hand-picked Chardonnay in oak barrels before letting them mature gently in French and American oak barrels for nine months.

The result is the Chateau Martinolles Limoux Chardonnay. This wine has a delicate colour of pale gold showing aromas of lime, pineapple, quince, nuts and brioche. It is a medium-bodied white wine with a pleasant length on the palate. Enjoy with cheese or with creamy chicken dishes.

In the first five years this wine will display excellent fruit, toasted aromas and crispy texture. This will then turn into more matured fruit, buttery flavours and a rich texture with time spent in the bottle.
