Château Rauzan Ségla is located just a stone’s throw from the village of Margaux. It consists a patchwork of vineyards reflecting the diversity of soils.
The terroir, largely made up of alluvial gravel, is ideally suited to viticulture and features perfect drainage. It also showcases the best qualities of each grape variety.
Founded in 1661, Rauzan-Segla quickly gained a fine reputation both domestically and internationally. This was confirmed by its Second Growth status in the 1855 classification.
Top fashion house Chanel purchased the estate in 1994, maintaining the same attention to detail in both wine and perfume production. They spare no expense in producing the finest wine imaginable.
The vineyards are primarily planted with Cabernet Sauvignon. It is closely followed by Merlot, with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot adding nuances to the final blend.
