Contino has established a fine reputation as a producer of estate-grown and bottled wines.
The Vina del Olivo Rioja is named after a centuries-old olive tree that grows in the vineyard.
It is made from the very best fruit of the harvest. It is aged for 17 months in French and American casks and aged in bottle at the winery before release.
It is a complex wine that shows chocolate, leather and nutmeg characteristics over blueberry, cherry and damson fruit.
The palate is medium to full and has a marvellous length to it. An exemplary wine from this top quality region.
