Pouilly Fumé de Ladoucette is a zesty, complex French white wine produced by a wine estate dating back to the 18th century.

The vineyards of the appellation Pouilly Fumé have developed around the village of Pouilly sur Loire. It sits on the hillsides dominating the Loire Valley.

They extend from the North to the East between the villages and hamlets of Boisgibault, Le Bouchot, Les Berthiers, Les Cassiers, Les Loges and St Andelain.

A large part of the vineyards belonging to the Domaine de Ladoucette lie on the southside of the hill of St Andelain.

The wine produced is blended seven to eight months after harvesting and stored in glass-tiled tanks. This therefore preserves the freshness and full flavour of the Sauvignon Blanc grape.

In the glass it is a pale gold with green highlights. Delicate, but complex, aromas of white flowers and lemon grass mingled with hints of vegetation and mineral notes.

The taste is beautifully fresh and lively exhibiting the trademark crunch of asparagus and mouthwatering layers of gooseberry crispness. It is clean and dry, with elegant citrus fruit and mineral notes of limestone and gun powder. A lingering complex finish then completes this fabulous wine from a family renowned for their expertise

Enjoy Pouilly Fumé de Ladoucette with grilled fish or a fresh salad.
