Master distillers handcraft Engine Gin in small batches. They distil it in copper pots and bottle it by hand in the Alta Langa region of north-western Italy. This attention to detail results in a delicious gin that is sure to please even the most discerning palate.
It boasts disruptive aesthetics which celebrate the imaginary connected with the world of motors and the cult myths of the 1980s for a fully immersive experience. The design of Engine Gin is based on traditional petrol cans, giving a whole new meaning to the idea of fuel!
Its formula is linked with Italian and Piedmont tradition, paying tribute to rosolios (sweet liqueurs), cordials and liquors made from sage and lemon. In the past, these were ancient digestive remedies.
Engine Gin’s producers use 100% organic Italian ingredients from a controlled supply chain. It features Alta Langa sage to chill, lemon from Sicily to energise, Calabrian licorice root for digestion, Damask rose from Piedmont to relax, spring water from the Alps to refresh, essential oils, juniper berries from Tuscany and wheat alcohol. In terms of flavour, it opens with an intense entry of juniper. This alternates with a pleasant and slightly bitter note of sage, as well as lemon essential oils. It then closes with a sweet taste of licorice and rose petals.
Its texture is sharp and energetic on the palate, a perfect complement to elevated cocktails.
Overall, this is a refreshing, herbaceous gin with bright citrus tones and floral touches. It’s best enjoyed with your favourite tonic and garnished with fresh sage.
