Evangelista Punch Abruzzo is a sweet rum-based liqueur with an aromatic nose, commonly enjoyed after a day of skiing.
Evangelista Liquori is a family business, founded in 1907 in Borrello, a small mountain village in Abruzzo, and now known in Italy and abroad for the high quality of its products.
During the long, cold Italian winters Mayor Antonio Evangelista, who had a passion for alchemy, used to prepare a ‘special drink’ heated over an open fire which gave off a scent so intense and intoxicating it roused the town. Curiosity and demand grew, eventually spreading across the entire country.
Evangelista’s signature brand ‘Punch Abruzzo’ is the original herbal recipe handed down through the family. It is now an iconic symbol of the apres-ski scene.
This authentic Abruzzo specialty is a rich liqueur and has a unique bouquet, derived from rum and various infusions.
It boasts an arousing aroma of cacao, toffee caramel, coffee and citrus on the nose. On the palate, purest oils of mandarin come to the fore, as well as a hint of mocha.
Evangelista Punch Abruzzo is delicious hot or cold, as a digestive in coffee. It also shines with desserts, over ice cream or in cocktails.
