Founded in 1955, Weingut Hanewald-Schwerdt is a family owned and operated estate in Leistadt.

Today,  it is run by cousins Thomas Hanewald and Stephan Schwerdt.

The secret of their handcrafted wines is a unique limestone reef which dominates all the sites around Leistadt.

Spätburgunder is the German name for Pinot Noir – late (Spät) ripening Pinot (Burgunder).

This particular example is produced to drunk young and could be served with pigeon or duck.

Producer’s Tasting Notes

Bright strawberry and cherry notes lead the way with some delicious savoury character and good minerality.
