Kilkerran 16 Year Old is a premium aged whisky from the Glengyle distillery, a member of the Springbank family of Scotch distilleries.
Glengyle is an independent, family run distillery based in Campbeltown, the historic whisky capital of the world.
The original Glengyle Distillery produced whisky between 1872-1925 but in 2004, after 79 non-producing years, the distillery reopened under Mitchell’s Glengyle Ltd in 2004.
This secured Campbeltown’s status as a whisky region.
Kilkerran is made with the same attention to detail as Springbank – no chill-filtering, bottled at 46%, like all the others. It’s a supreme example of the finest Scotch.
Kilkerran 16 joined Glengyle’s core range in 2020, and releases annually. With each annual release the maturation can vary slightly, thus giving enthusiasts a fresh take on the 16 year old with each year. The interplay of oak, sherry influence, and the distillery’s mineral-rich spirit results in a whisky of exceptional depth and elegance
2024 Release Cask Maturation: 20% Sherry, 70% Bourbon, 10% Rum.

Producer’s Tasting Notes
Nose: Notes of pineapple, morello cherries and soft peat smoke introduce this dram.
Palate: Tropical fruits are prominent in notes of mango and papaya, with golden syrup, coconut, dried apricots but also a creamy vanilla note.
Finish: There are peppery, mineral notes in the finish, then a touch of cherry menthols.
