This process creates a bold, pre-Prohibition-style bourbon with a robust oak taste, complemented by smooth vanilla notes and then layers of caramel. Proof 100.
Knob Creek’s name comes from the Kentucky region where Abraham Lincoln spent his childhood years. It’s a place of historical significance where it’s rumoured the creek almost took his life during a swimming incident.
Created in 1992 by Booker Noe as a part of the Small Batch Bourbon Collection, the brand was inspired by the Bottled-in-Bond Act to represent the high quality and full flavour of pre-Prohibition-style whiskey. Tasting Notes
Nose: A blend of spice and sweetness, featuring hints of melted salty butter on granary toast. Next come toasty oak and a whisper of rye complemented by caramel sweetness.
Palate: Lively and robust, with tastes of candy floss and nut oil, accented by hints of spice, dark chocolate, and charred oak.
Finish: Enduring, marked by a slight dryness, with nuances of nut oils and then vanilla spice.
