Marco Abella Òlbieta Blanc is a fresh, fruity yet saline Spanish white wine from the Priorat region, perfect for pairing with fish.
The Marco family made high-quality wine in the Priorat region dating back to the 15th century. Records show their presence in Porrera during that time, as documented in Catalonia’s first census in 1497.
Marco Abella owns seven distinct estates situated on seven peaks ranging from 500 to 750 meters above sea level in the mountains surrounding the village of Porrera.
Today the estate is run by David Marco and Olívia Bayés.
Òlbieta reflects the characteristics and essence of Mediterranean wines. The vines are situated at a high elevation and not far from the Mediterranean coast.
The influence of the vineyard soil (slate) and the Mediterranean climate create a true expression of terroir combined with white fruits and flowers.

It’s vibrant, fresh, with notes of fruits and white flowers and easy to drink. Aromas of pear, lychee, white flowers, and fennel as well as citrus fruits. Complex, fresh and mineral with great length on the palate and then a slightly saline finish.
