Nals Margreid Pinot Noir ‘Angra’ is a bright and refreshing red wine from a beautiful, hilly region of Italy.
Based in Italy’s picturesque Adige Valley, this winemaker is a collective operation. Here, 138 different winegrowers bring top quality grapes to the winery from across 160 acres of land, creating wines showcasing the diversity of the region’s terroir.
The grapes for this wine grow in the Oltradige on a south-west facing slope, where they enjoy plenty of sunshine.
The grapes are harvested by hand. After being carefully destemmed, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks with gentle maceration. Malolactic fermentation then takes place, before the wine is aged for seven months in 40 hl wooden barrels.
Enjoy Nals Margreid Pinot Noir ‘Angra’ with pasta alla genovese or Milanese calf’s liver.
