Nc’nean Organic Botanical Spirit is an innovative spirit which is perfect for gin lovers!
Producers re-distil the 100% organic spirit with a unique combination of classic gin botanicals and local Scottish plants. This then creates a rich and floral spirit. It was distilled a third time by Beinn an Tuirc on the west coast and bottled at 40% ABV.
Nc’nean is a small team making eco-conscious drinks in Scotland. They focus on changing how the world views whisky as well as other barley and malt spirits. Everything they produce comes in 100% recycled glass bottles.
It is the barley spirit that really makes the difference. It adds a malty, fruity undertone that plays exceptionally well with the chosen botanicals.
The ten botanicals are a mix of traditional gin flavours with locally foraged plants: juniper, coriander, angelica, liquorice, chamomile, grapefruit, bog myrtle, thyme, sorrel, heather.
On the palate, fresh barley, sea salt and tart citrus and dark fruit elements then join plenty of bright floral and herbal notes.
Nc’nean Organic Botanical Spirit is perfect with tonic or in any classic gin cocktail. The signature serve recommends pairing 50ml of the spirit with tonic water, a dash of Angostura bitters, and a grapefruit slice garnish.
