No. 3 James’s Street is home to London’s oldest wine and spirit merchant, Berry Bros. & Rudd, the creators of this gin.
Their No. 3 gin was originally created using a proprietary recipe. They intended for it to become the only choice for a Dry Martini. After two years of experimentation, Berry Bros. & Rudd perfected their recipe, working closely with master distillers, top mixologists, and Dr David Clutton — the only person in the world with a PhD in gin.
This is a classic, London Dry Gin, carefully crafted in copper pot stills at De Kuyper in the Netherlands, using traditional distillation methods. This creates a bold, punchy juniper-led gin, balanced and enhanced by five other botanicals. Expect the heady scent of juniper, citrus and coriander on the nose.
Juniper dominates on the palate, balanced by citrus and floral notes. This then tapers into a warm, spiciness from the cardamon and coriander.
Bottled at an invigorating 46% ABV, this gin packs a deliciously warming punch.
An excellent choice for classic cocktails or simply serve with tonic. As expected, No. 3 London Dry Gin particularly shines in a Martini.
