The Paul Mas Reserve Single Vineyard Malbec is sourced exclusively from the Gardemiel Vineyard in the Languedoc region of South-West France.
‘Gardemiel’, which means ‘place where the honey is kept’, is located 200km from Cahors, the historic birthplace of the Malbec grape variety.
In this vineyard, in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains, the Malbec grape has a unique flavour profile.
Ageing: 30% of the blend is aged in new oak barrels for four months.
Varietal Blend: 90% Malbec 10% Cabernet Franc
Deep purple colour in colour.
Powerful and complex aromas of ripe plum, blackcurrant and mocha combined with spicy notes.
Medium to full-bodied, this Malbec reveals ripe tannins supported by a good fruit concentration and layers of sweet spices (vanilla).
