Pellegrino Marsala Superiore Garibaldi Sweet is the classic sweet style of Marsala and the UK’s leading brand.

Marsala is made in a process similar to Sherry, in a solera system. These fortified wines were historically made in order to withstand long-distance sea travel. The Pellegrino Winery has been closely linked to Marsala for seven generations.

The over 2000 years old, always contested port city in the west of Sicily took the name “Marsa Allah” during an Arab rule phase. It later changed to Marsala. The wine takes its name from the city.

Marsala utilises the indigenous Sicilian varietals Grillo, Catarratto and Inzolia, grown in the western part of the region.

It then ages for a minimum of 2 years in oak casks.

Pellegrino Marsala Superiore Garibaldi Sweet is a perfect choice for those who enjoy rich and complex wines with a touch of sweetness. Pair it with rich desserts like chocolate torte, or enjoy with ripe, creamy cheeses.
