Pocketful of Stones Dr Squid Gin is made with real squid ink from a secret recipe created in Penzance, Cornwall.
The Pocketful of Stones distillery was established in 2016. They create a range of unique Cornish gin handcrafted in the coastal area of Penzance. This unique addition to the Pocketful of Stones range comes served in a copper flask. It’s engraved with the rugged scenery, wildlife, folklore, and history that surrounds and envelops the Cornish distillery.
Squid Ink is such a powerful ingredient that only a minimal amount is needed both for the distilling and colour or infusion of the gin. Vanilla was added to the base of the recipe to give a well rounded mouthfeel and perceived sweetness, coupled with sea buckthorn for a tart, fresh fruit finish reminiscent of sea breezes. A subtle, earthy florality is present too. The profile overall is savoury with touches of citrus and spice.
Pocketful of Stones Dr Squid Gin comes out of the flask black but turns pink upon pouring the tonic to create the perfect G&T with an exciting colour change! Enjoy over ice. It also makes for a great Gin Mule when poured over crushed ice and ginger beer.
