Taylor’s Vintage Port 2007 is a benchmark wine, deep and opaque with incredible staying power.
Taylor’s wines combine intensity with structure. As such, they are some of the longest lived wines of any vintage. Although the acidity and tannin are at the levels (and balance) one might expect from this wine, the quality of the vintage was such that the wine shows quite intense fruit and eucalyptus and spice aromas that make it more approachable that usual in its youth.
Taylor’s Vintage Port 2007 remains a wine for the cellar. It’s drinking beautifully now but will improve for most of this century in proper conditions.
