Infinity is the latest of the Whiskymaker’s Editions, a series of one-off releases showcasing the sense of adventure of whiskymaker, Dhavall Gandhi.
Each Edition is an exceptional diversion from The Lakes’ sherry-led signature style. An expression of creative freedom, the product of a playground where instinct, experience and inspiration roam free.
The rich, intense character of Infinity is due to its maturation in a combination of Oloroso, Palo Cortado and Manzanilla Sherry Casks until bottling in 2021. Non chill filtered and no added colour.
Complex and mysterious, this is a limited edition single malt whisky that appears to be in a state of constant evolution on the nose and palate. It offers a unique drinking experience as it appears to unlock a different flavour dimension with every sip.
Elegant sweetness on the nose, rich and creamy honeyed fruits and a hint of dark chocolate. These lead to fragrant notes, warming spices and cocoa nibs. Black Forest gâteau is joined by oily nuts, butterscotch, thick bitter marmalade, and finally black pepper. It then has a rich, drying finish.
Enjoy Infinity neat or on the rocks to fully appreciate its subtleties. Try adding a few drops of water to open up the flavours.
