The Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Cask forms part of the distillery’s Sherry Oak range which features a series of single malt whiskies matured exclusively in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez for richness and complexity.
When matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain, Macallan’s rich, fruity and full bodied ‘new make’ spirit transforms into an iconic single malt.
Once filled, the maturing spirit remains undisturbed in the same casks for 18 years and is brought together in this rich and complex single malt. It boasts powerful characteristics of mature oak, ginger and raisin flavours.
The Macallan was one of the first distillers in Scotland to be legally licensed. Since then they have built a reputation as one of the world’s leading single malt whiskies. The creation of The Macallan draws on the vital contributing influences of Spain, North America and Scotland – and of their respective natural raw materials, combined with traditional methods and craftsmanship.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Light mahogany
Nose: Dried fruits and ginger with hints of vanilla and cinnamon.
Palate: Soft and rich, with hints of spice, clove, orange and toasted mature oak.
Finish: Lingering with dried fruits, ginger and then orange zest.
