Veuve Goudoulin XO Vieil Armagnac is a marriage of the best Bas-Armagnac and Armagnac Ténarèze, the youngest component being aged for 30 years.

Armagnac Goudoulin, founded in 1935, lies in Courrensan, Bas-Armagnac. Faithful to the tradition and quality of the house’s brandies, their products age in oak barrels, which gives them their beautiful amber colour.

Storage in these barrels refines the Armagnac and then allows it to develop its complex flavours. Throughout this period of aging, the alcohol level decreases through evaporation, shedding what’s called “the angels’ share”.

Michel Miclo, owner of the G. Miclo family distillery in Alsace, acquired Armagnacs Veuve Goudoulin in 2009.

He set up a team whose mission was to develop the brand while preserving the authenticity and recognised quality of the Armagnacs.

Enjoy Veuve Goudoulin XO Vieil Armagnac neat at room temperature, preferably in a bowl-shaped or tulip glass. It pairs beautifully with smoked salmon, caviar, foie gras and classic charcuterie.

Producer’s Tasting Notes

A beautiful amber Armagnac with mahogany reflections.

The nose offers great complexity and seduces with nuances of jasmine and orange blossom and a background of prunes and a balsamic veil.

The always warm palate later reveals great fullness, and we find prune, liquorice and bitter almond. Tobacco notes then linger on the finish.
