Vilarnau Cava is made in a state of the art winery, with sleek minimalist design. The estate lies at 250 metres above sea level, enjoying a Mediterranean climate. Shielded by the Montserrat Mountains to the north and the Littoral range to the south.
It is bright pale straw colour with a steadily rising stream of fine bubbles. It displays a pronounced apple fruit character with a great balance between ripe fruit and delicate acidity.
It is produced from a blend of Macabeo, Parellada and Chardonnay which are fermented separately before blending, bottling and ageing for over 15 months.
The vineyards were certified as fulfilling Organic Viticulture standards in 2015, which implies the highest possible degree of respect for the biodiversity of the local flora and fauna.
