Waterford ‘Ballymorgan’ Edition 1.2 Irish Single Malt Whisky is part of the Single Farm Origin series, using 100% Irish, organic malted barley. It is a range of Limited Edition whiskies that explore Irish ‘Terroir’.
These whiskies are non-chill filtered with no additives or colouring.
In the rain shadow of the Wicklow Mountains, the Slaney river winds its way southwards through County Wexford. Here Robert Milne exploits one of Ireland’s premier barley terroirs. Farming now with his son and nephew, five generations of his family have farmed these fertile fields with their loamy, clay soils.
Waterford’s origin-focused approach to whisky production has proved without a doubt that the farm is as important for whisky as the vineyard is for wine.
This is full of supple, orange and mango fruit, and layers of treacle and then cinnamon.

Head Distiller’s Observations
Appearance:Â A golden hue that reminds me of a morning sunrise, with oils that hold like a yoga pose.
Nose:Â Dried herbs, malt, red apple, plums, milk chocolate, vanilla, fennel seeds and custard.
Taste:Â Apple crumble with toffee, milk chocolate, slight fudge, cloves, a green apple collated in caramel, with pepper heat and aniseed.
Finish: Lingering spice heat then a mouth-watering oiliness that turns mouth puckering.
