Glenmorangie Cognac Cask Finish is a limited release from the iconic Highland distillery, marking a rare experiment with cognac cask aging.
This small batch release 13-year-old single malt whisky is matured in American white oak bourbon casks and finished in select refilled cognac casks. This results in a more delicate woody influence on the whisky than new casks would provide.
This subtle treatment threads an elegant note of spice and leather through Glenmorangie’s renowned fruitiness. This gives this singular batch a glorious depth, body and flavour, then with a long, elegant finish.
Glenmorangie was founded in 1843 and is now among the world’s most recognisable Scotch distilleries. It boasts a team of 24 distillers led by distillery manager Edward Thom, who in 2022 won the Global Distillery Manager of the Year at the Icons of Whisky Awards. Glenmorangie continues to support and build strong relationships with its surrounding community. It has attracted many generations to craft its award winning whiskies over the years.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Firstly, spiced apple, soft cedar, and a smidge of earthy forest floor. Hints of yellow plum and leather.
Palate: Orange oils, buttery biscuits, clove, flaked almonds atop warm pastries, caramelised fruit.
Finish: Lingering oaky spices and finally a touch of red fruit sweetness.
