Established in 1992, Jeanneret, a family winery, tends 60 acres of low-yielding vines located in the Armagh of North Western Clare.
The vineyards undergo organic farming practices, embodying the family motto “naturally perfect.”
Their goal is to produce wines that authentically reflect their terroir. Self-taught winemaker Ben Jeanneret leads the estate, with a commitment to crafting generous wines full of flavour.
This case features:
Cabernet Malbec – a luscious blend with a wonderfully generous nose of blackberry, blueberry, mulberry, cassis and raspberry with gentle spicy notes complimenting the medley of fruits. The palate is textured, mouth-watering and opulent with lovely firmness and grip from the Cabernet and a big fleshy middle thanks to that fantastic dark, savoury Malbec.
‘Big Fine Girl’ Riesling – a bright, fresh Riesling with an enormously appealing nose – there’s an absolute torrent of ripe pear backed by lemon, lime and floral notes. There’s some more exotic and tropical fruits too. On the palate this is a rich and generous. The acid that gives zest, vivacity and freshness is so beautifully integrated and entwined in the fruit that it’s virtually unnoticeable.
‘Rank and File’ Shiraz – a classic Aussie Shiraz with notes of intense blackberry and blackcurrant. They’re woven together with dark, inviting spice. There’s a creamy character to the fruit on the nose which makes it so inviting and, frankly, irresistible. That character continues onto the palate, which together with a ton of ripe, delicious, dark fruit make it utterly delicious. Firm tannins give structure and length and gently remind you that there’s a serious side to this pleasure bomb.
