Jeanneret Rank & File Shiraz

Establishing in 1992, Jeanneret, a family winery, tends 60 acres of low-yielding vines located in the Armagh of North Western Clare.

The vineyards undergo organic farming practices, embodying the family motto “naturally perfect.”

Their goal is to produce wines that authentically reflect their terroir. Leading the estate is self-taught winemaker Ben Jeanneret, who is committed to crafting generous wines full of flavour.

Producer’s Tasting Notes

Very darkly and vibrantly coloured, the Rank & File Shiraz has the most beautiful nose featuring generous quantities of wonderfully intense blackberry and blackcurrant woven together with dark, inviting spice.

And there’s a creamy character to the fruit on the nose which makes it so, so inviting and, frankly, irresistible. That character continues onto the palate, which together with an absolute ton of ripe, delicious, dark fruit make it utterly delicious.

Firm tannins give structure and length and gently remind you that there’s a serious side to this pleasure bomb. And amid all this generosity, there’s a lovely zesty energy to the fruit too.
