Establishing in 1992, Jeanneret, a family winery, tends 60 acres of low-yielding vines located in the Armagh of North Western Clare.
The vineyards undergo organic farming practices, embodying the family motto “naturally perfect.”
Their goal is to produce wines that authentically reflect their terroir. Leading the estate is self-taught winemaker Ben Jeanneret, who is committed to crafting generous wines full of flavour.
Almost black with a bright crimson rim. Wonderfully generous nose of blackberry, blueberry, mulberry, cassis and raspberry with gentle spicy notes complimenting the medley of fruits.
The palate is textured, mouth-watering and opulent with lovely firmness and grip from the Cabernet and a big fleshy middle thanks to that fantastic dark, savoury Malbec.
It’s very, approachable now and will gain character and complexity over the next 5 years or so.
