This Syrah has benefited from the maritime influence of the Pacific Ocean. Cool breezes moderate the heat of the Chilean sun and keep the fruit characteristics in the wine fresh. The wine was matured in 60% new French oak and the spice and toast character from the oak is well matched by the intensity of the fruit characteristics in the wine. Very good to drink now – and suitable for ageing.
