Berry Bros & Rudd Small Batch Linkwood 2013, Speyside Single Malt is an ultra-rare Scotch whisky from wine merchant Berry Bros & Rudd’s Exceptional Cask collection of bottlings.

Founded in 1821, Linkwood is one of Speyside’s unsung heroes. The distillery sits on the outskirts of Elgin, a town whose name is thought to derive from the Celtic word “Aille”, signifying a beautiful place or valley.

The majority of its whisky production goes towards blending, notably in Johnnie Walker. However, there have been quite a number of independent bottlings in recent times.

Batch: 2 , Cask type: Hogshead

Age: 10 Years, No. of bottles: 1147

Enjoy Berry Bros & Rudd Small Batch Linkwood 2013 neat. It also shines with a splash of warm water to fully unlock its complex flavour profile. Perfect for whisky enthusiasts looking to try something new and special.

Producer’s Tasting Notes

This is an excellent example of Bourbon cask matured Speyside.

Aromas of warm Victoria sponge, buttery coconut and then buttery fudge lure you into the glass.

The palate follows the theme with spiced vanilla yoghurt, aniseed, and toasted oak before lighter stewed apple and pear come to the fore.

Spice shows through on the finish alongside a lick of vanilla iced tea.
