Bodega Staphyle ‘Dragón de Vino’ Potrerillos Malbec is a rich and juicy Argentinian Malbec with a chocolatey and spicy oak-influenced nose.
Bodega Staphyle was born of the Porretta’s family dream to produce their wines. This all started in 2002 when the family rebuilt their winery that had originally be build in the 1930s.
Today this boutique winery marries that tradition with the latest in wine making technology to produce harmonious wines. They also offer excellent value.
The vineyards are located in the area of Ugarteche and Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, known as the first wine region of Argentina. The grapes for this wine grew in stone and silt at 1500 metres above sea level.
Malbec ‘Dragón De Vino’, is an intensely bright purple in colour with prominent aromas of plum, raspberry, cherry and chocolate.
Its palate is rich with complex fruit and well-integrated oak from 15 months of ageing in new 225 litre oak casks. The finish is long and silky, balancing power and elegance perfectly.
Enjoy Bodega Staphyle ‘Dragón de Vino’ Potrerillos Malbec now, but it will also age beautifully for a further five years. Pair it with hearty red meat dishes like beef and lamb, or with strong cheeses.
