Bodegas Martínez Lacuesta was founded in 1895 in Haro by Félix Martínez Lacuesta. He was a winemaker, a lawyer, a politician, a marketing man, and the first president of the National Association of Wine-growers and Wine-producers, as well as the Rioja Wine Union. In addition he represented bodega owners in the setting-up of the Regulatory Body of the Rioja D.O.
Aged in new and used American oak casks for a period of 18 months, rounded off with 6 more months in bottle.
A tasty and well-structured wine, deep black-cherry in colour, with a lively red-fruit palate and an elegant finish with perfectly integrated sensations of oak.
Highly recommended to accompany white or red meat, game or mature cheeses.
