Cà dei Maghi Ripasso Valpolicella Classico Superiore is a gloriously intense red wine with aromas of red fruits and spices.
Cà dei Maghi is a small farm in the hills of Valpolicella making very small quantities of the most exquisite wines. Each year, Paolo Creazzi, the winemaker, aims to showcase the best of classical Valpolicella, while also indulging his passion for experimentation through a select range of IGT wines. Cà dei Maghi aims to become one of the esteemed names in Veneto winemaking.
This is a luscious, ethereal red based on the Corvina grape. Winemakers hand-harvest the grapes for this Ripasso Valpolicella Classico Superiore in the second week of October.
The grapes ferment in steel tanks, and in February, the wine is mixed with the Amarone marc. It then rests for 3 years in large oak barrels and in steel tanks before bottling, giving it a wonderful depth and concentration.
