Chakana Estate Selection Malbec embodies a distinguished red wine. It showcases carefully selected Malbec grapes grown in the Mendoza region of Argentina.

Located in Agrelo, Lujan de Cuyo in the Mendoza region of Argentina, Chakana Wine Estate is a family-owned winery that was established in 2002. The Chakana vineyards stretch across 80 hectares, where organic and biodynamic viticultural practices take place to date. Some of the grapes for Chakana wines also grow in the Altamira region of Uco Valley (also known as Ayni) and Los Cedros.

The winemakers’ philosophy is minimal intervention at the wineries of Chakana. Fermentation happens with the help of natural yeast. The use of sulphur dioxide and other additives have kept as minimal as possible. Porous materials like cement barrels facilitate ageing, so that the juice represents the true elegance and character of the fruit.

This wine entices the senses with its deep, rich purple hue and complex bouquet of dark fruits like plum and blackberry. Intertwined with these are hints of spice and earthy undertones.

On the palate, it delivers a velvety texture and full-bodied structure, showcasing flavours of ripe berries, chocolate, then subtle oak nuances.

With its well-balanced acidity and smooth tannins, Chakana Estate Selection Malbec offers a memorable drinking experience. It’s perfect for pairing with grilled meats or hearty pasta dishes.
