Chapel Down Rosé Reserve is a crisp, fresh and elegant English sparkling wine with notes of strawberry, cherry and redcurrant. It has a refreshingly acidic palate and a fine mousse of bubbles.

Made in Kent, the garden of England, Chapel Down make use of the brilliant Kimmeridgian soils – the same type as in Champagne – and cool maritime climate to produce top-tier sparkling and still wines. They are now one of England’s largest wine producers, and source their grapes from across Kent, Essex, East Sussex and Dorset.

This particular fizz utilises a classic blend of Pinot Noir (96%) with a small amount of Early Pinot Noir (4%), a variation on the grape which ripens earlier so is well suited to cool climates like England.

It goes through cool fermentation in stainless steel followed by full malolactic conversion to add creamy, buttery flavours and a rounder texture. Maturation then takes place on fine lees in tank for 6 months before bottling. The wine then has an average of 18 months further ageing on lees in bottle, adding characteristic qualities of brioche.

Enjoy Chapel Down Rosé Reserve as an aperitif. Alternatively, serve alongside stone bass with wild asparagus or seared scallop with crispy pancetta and pea purée.
