In 1900, the Senator of Gironde, Guillaume Chastenet de Castaing acquired Château de Carles for the great reputation of its wines.
Since then, the property and its vineyard have remained in the same family.
Château de Carles embraces both tradition and modernity.
This medium-bodied wine, from right bank appellation of Fronsac, shows notes of blackcurrant, vanilla, dark cherry and spice.
It is silky on the palate with supple tannins and can be drunk now or cellars for up to 15 years.
The age of the vines are between 30 to 35 years old.
