Chateau Grandis Haut-Medoc Cru Bourgeois is a delicious red Bordeaux from the Haut-Medoc region, using the traditional Bordeaux grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
Cru Bourgeois is a classification for Medoc chateaux which were not included in the original 1855 classification, but are still of very high quality. Chateau Grandis, operating since 1857, makes this wonderful Cru Bourgeois using their petite 10 hectares of vines.
The grapes are hand-harvested, fermented in stainless steel and blended before ageing in 225-litre French oak barriques. This produces a fine red wine with a delightfully spicy note.
Enjoy Chateau Grandis Haut-Medoc with red meats, rich sauce dishes and matured cheeses.
Producer’s Tasting Notes
Appearance: Deep ruby colour.
Nose: Ripe black and red fruits: blackberry, morello cherry, raspberry, with notes of sweet spices, vanilla, cedar and blond tobacco.
Palate: Supple yet structured, with firm but ripe tannins. Elegant framework, very long finish and excellent balance.
