This orange wine is made using 100% organically grown Malagouzia grapes, from the Goumenissa wine region in North Greece.
These carefully selected grapes are foot stomped and then allowed to spontaneously ferment in amphora with no additions.
The resultant wine remains on its lees for a period 1 month, un-fined and unfiltered, with a small amount of sulfites (19ppm total sulfites). It is matured for 4 months in 6 year old French oak barrels.
It is bright orange in colour with bronze hints and a light turbidity. It displays aromas of orange zest, dried apricot, flowers, cedar, honey, bergamot and kumquat. It has a structured palate with delicate tannin, balanced acidity and a long finish.
