Clos Martinolles Crémant de Limoux Extra Brut Extrême is a delightfully bright and bubbly sparkling wine from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France.

The Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Pinot Noir which comprise the crémant all come from the Pont Major parcel which makes up the Clos Martinolles.

The characteristics of this vineyard:

Terroir: oceanic clay-limestone
Vineyard: 20 to 30 years
Altitude: 250-280 m
Climate: Mediterranean with oceanic influences

This is a cuvée made from classic champagne varietals with some extra additions. Producers firstly hand-harvested the grapes for optimum quality. After the harvest, the grapes arrive at the press via the fastest route. There, they undergo selectin and gentle crushing. Then, temperature-controlled bottle fermentation follows. This is followed by aging, where bottles rest for a minimum of 32 months on laths in airconditioned cellars

Enjoy Clos Martinolles Crémant de Limoux Extra Brut Extrême as a sophisticated aperitif, but it will also accompany fish for a delicate meal. Serve well chilled.

Producer’s Tasting Notes

Appearance: Pale and limpid yellow, delicate, nice, dancing and persistent bubbles.

Nose: Intense and refined, honey and acacia aromas join to hints of subtle crystallized citrus fruits.

Palate: Wonderful harmony, very good balance sugar/acidity. These aromas then follow through on to the palate.
