Daftmill 2010 Summer Batch Release

Daftmill is a farm distillery, owned and operated by the Cuthbert family.
It only runs in the farm’s quiet periods; mid-summer and winter, sometimes producing as few as 100 casks per year.
When not distilling, Francis Cuthbert looks after the estate, growing the malting barley used to make this Lowland whisky.
Summer 2010 was the last time the variety Optic was used for distilling. It was grown in Daftmill’s South fields.
The barrels, which had previously been used to mature bourbon from Clermont Springs distillery in Kentucky, were matured on the ground floor of the dunnage warehouse.
The whisky from the twenty five first fill bourbon barrels used in this bottling were distilled and filled in July 2010 and bottled in 2021.
Limited Edition of 6250 bottles.
