Diamantakis Prinos Syrah is an intense and aromatic Greek red wine made at a family winery.
Founded in 2007, Diamantakis is a modern winery located in Crete. It is to the south-west of Heraklion in the heart of the Malevizi province.
The love and passion of the Diamantakis family for high quality wine and their long tradition in viticulture was the motivation to create a small winery in the area.
Their vision was to cultivate local grape varieties such as Vidiano, Liatiko, and Mandilaria, allowing these grapes to thrive in the unique microclimate.
This wine is crafted using classic red vinification techniques, with a brief extraction period of 2 to 2.5 days. Fermentation then occurs at low temperatures to preserve the grape’s fruit characteristics.
This is a fabulous, high-class expression of Syrah that draws on all the very finest features of this seductive, savoury grape variety to deliver a wine packed with soft fleshy black fruits
Enjoy Diamantakis Prinos Syrah with roast lamb or grilled ribs.
This wine is purple in colour with red highlights. On the nose it is fresh as well as aromatic with an intense bouquet of black pepper and blackberries, followed by scents of violet, typical of Syrah variety.
Medium in body with balanced acidity and tannins giving a rich, juicy and velvety mouthfeel.
