Domaine Belleville Rully “La Crée” is a stunningly creamy Chardonnay from a vineyard known for its limestone soils and minimal use of sulphur during the winemaking process.
Domaine Belleville was established at the beginning of the 20th century around Rully.
It owns 22 hectares of vineyards extending from Gevrey Chambertin in the north to Mercurey in the south. Its wines are made in the strict respect of its parcellaire, each wine coming from a single plot of estate to highlight the diversity of the terroirs.
Domaine Belleville produce an impeccable range of wines which have a true sense of place and provide delicious drinking.
“La Crée” refers to a stony slope, a stony plot of land and serves as a reminder of a former quarry. It lies to the east of the village of Rully.
It matures for 12 months in oak of which 25% is new. The wine has good volume and fruit with underlying minerality and refreshing saline tinged acidity.

Appearance: Nice pale gold robe, brilliant.
Bouquet: Open and pleasant with toasted and buttery aromas. Ripe apple, apricot and quince later come to the forefront.
Palate: This wine is fat and rich, but with balancing acidity, then finishing with a pleasant toasted bread complexity.
