Domaine Benoît Badoz Côtes du Jura Vin Jaune is a premium Vin Jaune with a delightfully nutty flavour profile.

The Badoz family have been vignerons in Poligny, in the heart of Jura since 1659.

Traditional winemaking techniques and local know-how have been transferred from father to son for more than 10 generations.

Domaine Benoît Badoz Côtes du Jura Vin Jaune is made exclusively from the Savagnin grape variety.

Planted on Jurassian blue clays, it is aged in oak barrels for 6 years and 3 months, without compensating for the share of evaporation of around a third of the volume.

A veil of yeast forms on the surface of the wine, and protects it from any oxidation. It is a little bit like a fino sherry but with a richer, fuller quality.

It is during this long ageing that it acquires its aromatic profile of spice and nuts. Concentrated notes of biological aging on the nose and palate allied to a long finish immediately suggest that this is a high quality wine. Complex maple syrup and curry leaf development adds interest.

This will keep for another 10 years if you can resist it.

Drink as an aperitif, or with chicken, fish, strong cheeses or bitter chocolates.
