Domaine de Saje Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a luscious and structured French red wine with a nose of spices, blackcurrants and cherries.
Domaine de Saje was founded by the experienced winemaker Jerome Mathieu who had previously worked alongside his brother on the estate ran by their parents. This new Domaine was established in 2015, and the vines are around 55 years old.
Combining the classic Rhône red grape varietals of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and a handful of others, this wine undergoes a warm fermentation over a period of four to five weeks to extract maximum flavour. The wine then ages in oak barrels for 14 months, giving an extra-rich mouthfeel.
