Gilbert Miclo, the son of a wine merchant and fruit lover, established the eponymous distillery in 1962 in Lapoutroie, Alsace.
From the beginning, he chose to prioritise the quality of his eaux-de-vie over the quantity produced. The result would be a spirit with real aromatic power.
Miclo Eau de Vie de Poire William “Tradition” is distilled from William pears grown in the rich and warm lands of the Rhône Valley.
