Proyecto Hermanas Malbec-Cabernet Franc 2022 is a deliciously rich and smooth red wine. It’s made by Bodega Lagarde, one of Argentina’s finest winemaking families.
The grapes for this wine – 75% Malbec and 25% Cabernet Franc – grow at an altitude of 1500 metres above sea level. This means that they benefit from cool mountain air to ensure they retain freshness.
Founded in 1897 in the heart of Argentina’s most famous wine region, Mendoza, Bodega Lagarde is not only one of Argentina’s oldest wineries, but steward to some of its oldest vineyards. It was acquired by the Pescarmona family in 1897, and today is run by third-generation sisters Sofía and Lucila. They focus on making premium Argentinian wines which speak to their grapes and terroirs – but in the most sustainable way possible.
