This wine is made using 100% Cabernet Franc from vines with an average age of 40 years, on an estate that converted to organic farming in 2012.
The finesse and fruitiness of this organic Saumur Champigny is not only due to the great care and attention taken in the vineyard by the producer, but also the interaction between the Cabernet Franc grape variety and the vineyard’s limestone subsoil.
With aromas of blackcurrant and raspberry, this elegant wine is deep red in colour with ruby reflections. On tasting, this wine’s refined tannins are prominent and to the fore, yet its roundness and balance is beguiling.
