Martin Miller’s Westbourne Strength is a higher proof version of Martin Miller’s Gin, although it uses the same classic palette of botanicals, with subtle alterations to their balance.
This gin is more traditional in style, with heavier emphasis on juniper and the earthier botanicals cinnamon, coriander and cassia coming to the fore, giving a richer, spicier mouthfeel. The citrus and non-citrus botanicals are distilled separately. This allows the distiller to use a higher, more aggressive heat on the less delicate non-citrus botanicals and therefore extract a richer, heavier flavour. The botanicals are then blended with pure Icelandic spring water. This ensures the delicate flavours of the different ingredients are front and centre.
The producers of Martin Miller developed Westbourne Strength specifically for cocktails demanding stronger, more complex flavours and ingredients.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Clean, pine forward juniper forward with hints of citrus. Nicely balanced.
Flavour: Juniper and citrus predominate; however some peppery nuance from the nutmeg and coriander mingles with clean cucumber. The finish, while classic, begins to veer into deliciously contemporary territory.
