Pascual Toso Estate Limited Edition Malbec is a rich, fruity Malbec aged for 12 months in new oak barrels: 20% French and 80% American.
Since the winery was founded in 1890, Bodegas y Vińedos Pascual Toso has become one of the most exciting and promising Argentine wineries. Moreover, it remains faithful to its principles: Tradition, Authenticity and Innovation.
In 2001, the Bodega hired renowned winemaking consultant Paul Hobbs for a new high quality wine project. He is working closely with chief winemaker Rolando Luppino on the development of premium and super-premium wines. The Estate Malbec is terroir-driven and reflects the essence of Las Barrancas, the winery’s single-vineyard estate and region of Mendoza characterised by premium soils. Producers then bottle the wine in Mendoza.
This red is just right for those who like it dry. However, it never appears sparse or brittle, but round and smooth. The fruit and oak are in delicate balance.
Pascual Toso Estate Limited Edition Malbec is excellent paired with pasta, meats and dishes with any creamy sauces.
Producer’s Tasting Notes
Nose: Fruity nose filled with plum and quince aromas and a slight touch of elegant oak.
Palate: Blackberry and plummy fruit.
Finish: Rich and long with smoky oak and vanilla.
