Classic cocktails demand classic liqueurs and no liqueur is more classical than the Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao Triple Sec Liqueur.
Pierre Ferrand is a premier boutique producers of fine spirits, and the architect of the an historical spirits movement. Alexandre Gabriel founded the company in 1989 with a mission to preserve age-old, craft production methods that capture the true expression of the spirit, and a commitment to revisit the classics while advancing innovation.
Crafted in consultation with cocktail historian David Wondrich and based on a 19th century recipe, it is a traditional French “triple sec” – separate distillations of spices and the “sec” or bitter, peels of Curacao oranges blended with brandy and Ferrand Cognac. It’s then sweetened with 200 gr. per litre of toasted sugar.
The final blend then ages in small French oak barrels for several months with the addition of a small quantity of bitter Lahara Orange peels. Finally, a last filtration is carried out before bottling.
It displays distinctive aromas of orange blossoms combined with candied orange zest. Then, toasted wood notes reminiscent of aged Cognac follow.
The result is a rich, complex and balanced liqueur. It will bring new sophistication to your Punches, Slings, Fizzes and, of course Cocktails. Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao Triple Sec Liqueur is also delicious straight up or on ice.
