Ruinart Rosé is a delicious rosé Champagne from the region’s oldest reputed producer of sparkling wine. A refined blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay, this champagne combines between 40 and 50 crus from a range of vintages.
It then aged for a minimum of 4 years in Ruinart’s famous wine cellars, which are carved out of chalk and run for over 8 kilometres. This much room allows for a constant temperature of 11 degrees Celsius, perfect for aging the champagne.
It strikes a perfect balance between a light and approachable style of rosé and more concentrated wines that show more blood orange characteristics. Simply put: this wine is a joy.
Enjoy Ruinart Rosé with oily fish and shellfish. It also shines alongside charcuterie and more powerful meats like duck.
Producer’s Tasting Notes
Colour: Ruinart Rosé reveals coral and rosewood hues.
Nose: First impressions reveal intense aromas of tropical fruit such as pomegranate, lychee and guava, complemented by floral essences of rose and freshly picked red berries. Secondary aromas include hints of warm spices such as tonka bean and nutmeg.
Palate: This cuvée’s fresh character is combined with a refined structure and delicate roundness. The elegant finish provides notes of peppermint and pink grapefruit.
