Saffron Gin Gabriel Boudier is a delightfully quirky French gin made with real saffron.
This is an unusual offering from Gabriel Boudier in Dijon, made with an old recipe from the Boudier archives. Created in 2008, the gin is small-batch pot distilled and made with nine botanicals including juniper, fennel, coriander, iris, orange peel, lemon, angelica seeds, orris root and the saffron that gives this gin its characteristic amber colour. Juniper and coriander dominate on the nose. Then, saffron lingers on the palate long after the other botanical flavours have dispersed.
Saffron Gin Gabriel Boudier shines with tonic or as an ingredient in cocktails.
